Description

Pyrography-the art or process of burning designs on wood or leather with heated tools or a flame

Dark Crescent Studio's pyrography designs are all done individually by hand through heated tools rather than with a laser cutter, so each piece is 100% unique and custom made-perfect for adding that special touch to a gift, or for a piece for your home.

Small plaques measure at roughly 5"x7" and come in rectangles and ovals
Medium plaques measure at roughly 6"x9" and come in rectangles, ovals, and french curved rectangles
Large plaques measure at roughly 9"x12" and come in rectangles, french curved rectangles, ovals, and ones like in the main picture for the product

Prices listed are for designs in four price point stages. If you are unsure which yours would fall under, feel free to message the studio before making your purchase. The stages are as follows:
**Simple-just simple plain line art, no shading, fairly minimal detail work.
**Fair--this includes the price point for either Simple work with additional minimum shading, OR detailed line art, with no shading work done.
**Mid--this price point includes work for either Simple line art with heavy shading OR detailed line art with minimal shading
**Complex--This price point is for the pieces that are over the top with detail and heavy shading. This would include heavily realistic portrait work such as the Heath Ledger's Joker piece used as an example in the pictures.

There is a $5-15 upcharge for if you would like the piece to be on a natural wood base (ones that still have the bark around the edges) rather than a regular one simply due to the cost of acquiring them.

Commission pieces for pyrography works can either be chosen from premade designs found on the studio's Facebook Page, or custom made to whatever design you'd like.

Ideas from previous commissions are portraits, pets, original characters, inspirational signs, welcome home banners, or religious pieces.

Please allow 5-14 days for time for your commission to be completed. In progress pictures will be sent to the email of your choosing of the initial sketch and final draft before a final piece will be burned, completed, and shipped out.
